2021 Caney Fork Pygora Kids
Caney Fork Pygoras Earnest - Sold
Mountain Meadow Farm Fidget had a single buckling sired by The Oaks Grover on Thursday, March 4. The first of our Spring 2021 offspring, he is a big kid, weighing in a 6 pounds 4 ounces. He was sold to a farm in New England where he enjoys farm visitors and will be a breeding buck.
Caney Fork Pygoras Rocket Man - Sold
Mountain Meadow Farm Tiny also delivered a single buckling sired by Caney Fork Pygoras Carlos Jackson on Wednesday, March 10. He had incredibly think bone structure for such a little guy and is already a decorated show goat! His new owner in Wisconsin showed him at the Driftless Region Pygora Show where he won Reserve Champion Junior Buck.
Caney Fork Pygoras Ruthie Sisu - Sold
Caney Fork Pygoras Miriam and The Oaks Grover produced another single, this one a doeling weighing in at 5 pounds and 13 ounces, born March 13. Miriam was pre-purchased by one of our friends and neighbors along with this little doeling to join their one Pygora who has been living with two Nubian goats for the past year. She’s got her father’s thick curly white fleece.
Caney Fork Pygoras Bramble Berry - Sold
Mountain Meadow Farm Violet delivered twins on March 11, sired by Caney Fork Pygoras Carlos Jackson. lBramble Berry was the second of the twins but much bigger than her sister, weighing in at 5 pounds 4 ounces. She has her mother’s gray agouti coat and her curls indicate possible Type A fiber. She was sold as the first doe to a new Pygora farm in Virginia
Caney Fork Pygoras Pi - Sold
Also from Mountain Meadow Farm Violet and Caney Fork Pygoras Carlos Jackson came this tiny, spunky doeling, weighing in at 3 pounds and 14 ounces. Her name was obvious - Pi. We had to do a lineage check to figure out where that brown caramel came from, and it looks to be inherited from her maternal grandfather, Hawks Mountain Ranch Abramo, who fleeced out a lovely medium caramel. She was sold, along with Ernest, to a New England Farm.
Caney Fork Pygoras Jack Daniel - Sold
On March 28, Greystone Traveling Gypsy delivered triplets! The first one born was a brown agouti buckling that we named Jack Daniel. He was the largest of the three at 5 pound 10 ounces and is dark brown agouti like his sire, Caney Fork Pygoras Carlos Jackson. He fleeced out caramel to match his father and was sold as a wether along with Bramble Berry to a Virginia farm.
Caney Fork Pygoras Mary Jane - Retained
The smallest of the tree triplets was a beautiful black doeling. We retained her on our farm as we were expecting great fleece courtesy of mom Gypsy and dad Carlos Jackson, and she did not disappoint. She has long, gorgeous soft curls! Although she was the smallest by a few ounces, she quickly caught up with her siblings in size.
Caney Fork Pygoras Amanda Gorman - Sold
It’s tough being the middle child, but this little girl didn’t seem to mind being the second of the three triplets. She came out with tons of energy and quickly became the jumper in the bunch, always trying to get on top of everything. She was sold along with Rocket Man and James Joyce to a farm in Wisconsin.
Caney Fork Pygoras James Joyce - Sold
This guy right here had that show-stopper look with his super tight curls thanks to being a cross between the beautiful Mountain Meadow Farm Pepper with her Type A fleece and Hawks Mountain Ranch Legacy, who is high percentage Angora. He was born 7 pounds 7 ounces (poor mom!) but he is soft spoken, calm and slightly shy like his mom. He will be a herd sire for a Wisconsin farm.
